About Me
Hey! I'm Shoozi
As you've probably already seen, I'm a marketing student in uni and I have 4 years of experience in video editing. My first year was focused on learning the basics of editing, the ins and outs of storytelling, and making silly edits of my favorite creators for practice. I got into video editing during my first year of college. I took a graphic design course that had us doing work in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. From there I got curious and decided to check out Premiere and After Effects. I pulled up a video by Premiere Gal on YouTube and was immediately hooked. Thus began my editing journey.My second year was when I landed my first large client and I stuck with them for the majority of the year. Unfortunately, there was some controversy with this creator and some pretty negative stuff came out about them. I resigned from that position and took a break from editing for others for over a year.2024 has been my most active year. In May I set up a Twitter account and began posting the edits I made for various creators for the sole purpose of practicing and increasing my awareness. From then on, I completed a few one off client projects. In October 2024, I started working for MooMooMaru on Twitch, having made the first video to debut on his YouTube channel. In late November, I started working for Julien Azelart on YouTube.When I edit a video, I like to focus on the story. I find that the best videos focus on a linear progression of events, no matter what it's about. I will never edit for the sake of editing. That is, if a clip will not benefit from some kind of fancy visual effect, I will not add it. I value your time and the work you put into your videos, so I will always ask questions and work with you, not for you.Thank you for taking the time to read this!
